Keyano branding sample
FORT McMURRAY — Keyano College has unveiled a refreshed brand identity designed to reflect its connection to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and its renewed focus on regional stewardship.
The college says the updated brand is rooted in the Cree meaning of the word “Keyano,” which translates to “sharing,” and emphasizes connection, resilience and collective progress.
Officials say the refreshed identity includes modern typography and a revised colour palette inspired by northern Alberta’s landscape and the Athabasca River.
“This evolution reflects a renewed focus on how we show up for our region and the people we serve,” said Chantal Beaver, associate vice-president of public engagement.
“Our brand tells a story of connection, stewardship, and shared progress. It captures who we are as a community and how we continue to create opportunities for learning, growth, and future success.”
The new branding is now visible across the college’s website, social media platforms and corporate email communications.
Keyano says additional elements of the refreshed identity will be introduced over time as part of a phased rollout.
The college says the new branding reflects its continuing role as a regional post-secondary institution offering degrees, diplomas, certificates, university transfer programs and continuing education while supporting learners across Wood Buffalo.
