FORT McMURRAY — Residents with questions about electric scooters, electric bicycles and off-highway vehicles will have an opportunity to speak directly with local enforcement officers before the new school year.
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is holding a three-hour pop-up information session at MacDonald Island for riders, parents, students and other residents.
Bylaw Services and RCMP officers will be available to explain where different modes of transportation can be used and answer questions about local rules, safety and responsible riding.
The session will cover electric scooters and bicycles, off-highway vehicles and other recreational vehicles.
The municipality says the free event is open to the public and is intended to help residents understand the rules before students return to school.
