FORT MCMURRAY — A Fort McMurray man is facing charges after police received several reports of a naked man committing indecent acts near businesses in the downtown area.
Wood Buffalo RCMP responded at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after receiving multiple reports of a naked man walking between the Sobeys grocery store and Walmart near Hospital Street.
Police say witnesses also reported the man was committing indecent acts.
Officers located the man and arrested him without further incident.
RCMP say the man was subject to conditions under a probation order at the time of his arrest.
Allan Libertino, 45, of Fort McMurray, has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act and two counts of breaching a probation order.
Libertino was held in police custody following a judicial interim release hearing.
He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Fort McMurray on Sept. 3.
RCMP are encouraging residents to report criminal or suspicious activity to police and to call 911 when a crime is in progress.
