Sad news for fans of ’90s television. Dennis Haskins, best known for playing Principal Richard Belding on Saved by the Bell, has died at 75.
Haskins became a familiar face to millions of viewers as the principal at Bayside High, constantly trying to keep Zack Morris and the rest of the gang out of trouble.
He first played Mr. Belding on Good Morning, Miss Bliss before continuing the role through Saved by the Bell and several spinoffs.
His career went far beyond Bayside High, with appearances in shows including The West Wing, Mad Men, New Girl and How I Met Your Mother.
Haskins remained connected with fans throughout his life and embraced the character that made him a beloved part of ’90s television.
Rest in peace, Dennis Haskins.
